About Me:

I’m Dr Sam Masoumi, a GP with an MD and PhD in Medicine and a background in internal medicine, oncology, and medical research. I take a careful, evidence-based and holistic approach to care, with a focus on preventive health, women’s health, chronic disease management, mental health, and children’s health. I enjoy supporting patients through practical, personalised care that helps them achieve long-term wellbeing. Outside medicine, I love cooking, painting, and spending time with my family.

Dr Sam Masoumi is a General Practitioner with an MD and PhD in Medicine, and a strong background in internal medicine, oncology, and translational medical research. She has broad experience in clinical and research settings within large tertiary hospitals in Australia and the United States, and an extensive and impactful publication record contributing to cancer science.

She takes a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to patient care, with a focus on clear assessment, evidence-based management, and practical treatment planning. She values a holistic approach, integrating medical and lifestyle factors to support long-term health outcomes.

Dr Masoumi transitioned to general practice to achieve a sustainable work–life balance and to spend more time with her young child, while continuing to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking, painting, and walking.
