Hargreaves St Medical is a mixed billing practice offering both private and bulk billing doctors. Some doctors may offer bulk billing services for general consults or for anyone who holds a pensioner concession, health care card or Veterans Affair card. Other doctors may charge an out-of-pocket fee for consultations and procedures. This is done completely at the discretion of each individual GP. Medicare and concessions cards must be presented before each consultation.
We are committed to ensuring that our fees are transparent and patients fully understand the out-of-pocket costs associated with their medical care. Work cover/TCA – All worker’s compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the of consultation unless a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company or employer.
Non-card holders – A out of pocket fee may apply according to the level of consultation undertaken, this is done completely at the discretion of each individual GP.
Private Insurance/Overseas Visitor Health Claims- WITH NO GAP FEE –Having partnered with select health funds, HICAPS makes it easy to process healthcare claims for overseas workers, students and visitors. Currently, we can process Medibank, Bupa, NIB and Allianz claim.
After Hours Fee Structure
Patient needs to have a linked bank account to Medicare to have the rebate returned to the account almost straight away. If they don`t have one, they will take the receipt to Medicare/online to claim it.
All appointments for patients who hold a pensioner card and children less than 16 years of age will be bulk billed.

Weekend and Public Holidays (Not Bulk Billed)
Kindly take note that consultations conducted on weekends or public holidays will not be bulk billed for concession card holders and will require an out-of-pocket gap fee.
