About Me:
I’m an experienced physiotherapist with over 12 years of clinical practice, combining evidence-based treatment with a warm, person-centred approach to help people improve their movement, balance, confidence and independence. I have a PhD in neuroscience and a special interest in neurological rehabilitation, falls and balance, post-injury recovery and persistent pain across both younger and older adults.
Dr Darya Behrangrad is an experienced physiotherapist with more than 12 years of clinical experience across neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, inpatient, outpatient and community rehabilitation settings.
She has a strong interest in helping people improve their movement, balance, strength, confidence and independence through evidence-based and person-centred care. Her clinical interests include neurological rehabilitation, falls and balance, post-injury recovery, persistent pain, mobility issues and rehabilitation for younger and older adults.
Darya also holds a PhD in neuroscience from Monash University, where her research focused on brain function, balance and cognitive control. Alongside her clinical work, she is involved in university teaching and clinical education, supporting the next generation of health professionals.
Darya’s approach is warm, thorough and collaborative. She takes time to understand each person’s goals and provides practical treatment plans to support recovery, function and long-term wellbeing.
