I am Dr. Nadeeja Liyanage, a dedicated General Practitioner and Community Medicine Specialist with over 20 years of experience in patient care and public health. I hold medical qualifications from the University of Ruhuna and the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and have also completed specialist training at the University of Melbourne, Australia. My areas of expertise include general medicine, non-communicable diseases, cancer care, elderly care, and mental health. Dr. Nadeeja Liyanage is a highly accomplished General Practitioner and Community Medicine Specialist with over 20 years of medical experience. She is renowned for her compassionate patient care and her commitment to advancing public health both in Sri Lanka and internationally.

Dr. Liyanage graduated with her MBBS from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, and has since built a distinguished career across multiple medical specialties. Her early years in medicine saw her working in diverse hospital settings, where she gained invaluable experience in general medicine, immunisation, maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, cancer care, and communicable diseases.

With a passion for public health, Dr. Liyanage pursued postgraduate training at the University of Colombo, earning both her MSc and MD in Community Medicine. She further enhanced her expertise with specialist training at the Allergy and Lung Health Unit, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Liyanage has served as a Specialist in Community Medicine for the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka, contributing to national health initiatives and research projects focused on both communicable and non-communicable diseases. Her dedication to excellence is further reflected in her membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK).

Currently, Dr. Liyanage holds specialist registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) and is also registered to practice medicine in Australia. From 2008 to 2022, she provided exceptional care as a General Practitioner in Sri Lanka, earning the trust and respect of her patients and peers.
