Dr Elisabeth Hatzistavrou is a specialist geriatrician who calls Bendigo home. She has worked across a diverse range of services from community-based services to acute hospital care, and in large metropolitan hospitals as well as regional centres across Victoria and Tasmania. Dr Elisabeth is a specialist geriatrician at Bendigo Health. She has a special interest in cognition (memory and thinking) and dementia. Her other professional interests include movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, and other disorders affecting cognition, such as delirium. Dr Elisabeth hopes to improve people’s understanding of dementia and ageing by promoting health literacy. She aims to provide compassionate care that empowers people to live well and make informed choices about their health and their future. Dr Elisabeth has a history of consistent leadership, holding various formal and informal positions throughout her training and professional practice. Full payment of the fee is required on the day of your appointment, and we endeavour to process your rebate immediately. If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss this with practice staff prior to your consultation. For in-person appointments, payment can be made by EFTPOS, credit card, cash or cheque. Telehealth appointments can be arranged for follow-up reviews where requested. Please provide as much notice as possible if you cannot make your appointment. Cancellations with less than 48hours notice will attract a fee (50% of attendance). Quoted fees will be reviewed on a regular basis in line with annual MBS fee indexation.

Other items:
• Medication script requests (outside of appointment) will incur a $30 fee
• Forms and reports requiring completion outside of the appointment:
o requiring less than 30 minutes to complete $50 fee
o requiring more than 30 minutes to complete incur a $100 fee.

Please note that Dr Elisabeth does not see patients for the purposes of worker’s compensation, medico-legal reports or TAC related claims. Dr Elisabeth does not routinely perform home visits or visits into aged care, but these can be discussed on an individual basis.
